On Sunday, September 23, 2018 you can enjoy FREE admission at over 44 local museums and cultural institutions! Presented by the Austin Museum Partnership, this annual occasion gives us the chance to explore exhibits and get hands-on with plenty of special family-friendly activities throughout the day.
My favorite ones are :
Thinkery : My kids love to go here. This is a place where they blend science and fun. You can get answers for “how” and “why” . We love this place. If you are new to Austin and have elementary age kids this place is a must go .They will surely have fun .Open 10 AM -5 Pm
Texas State History Museum: If you have parents visiting you and they are curious to know about the story of Texas this is a very museum. They will just enjoy it. Open 12-5 pm
LBJ Library and Museum : Engage in STEM activities in NASA’s very own exploration trailer. Celebrate the anniversary of NASA and Apollo 8 with the LBJ Library and the Johnson Space Center. Visit the library to touch a moon rock, explore space models, and engage in STEM activities in NASA’s very own exploration trailer. Open 9am -5pm
